The primary purpose of this job position is to develop, coordinate, direct, and administer the facility’s marketing and public relations programs and services. This role involves maintaining a current listing of all resident care employee phone numbers, planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the facility’s public relations and marketing programs and activities to maintain and increase census. It also includes providing the community with information relative to the facility, its programs, services, and practices. The position requires developing and maintaining written policies and procedures for information release, assisting department directors with marketing and public relations policies, and fostering inter-departmental rapport. The Marketing Director will also review and update these policies annually, assist with customer satisfaction surveys, interpret facility policies, and ensure public information is accurate. Internal communications through various channels, departmental meetings, and creative support for resident programs are also key responsibilities. Maintaining liaison with families, residents, and community leaders, participating in community service, and contacting the news media for new programs or promotions are essential. The role involves keeping the Administrator informed of relevant media coverage and establishing a public relations area during emergencies. Additionally, the Marketing Director will assist with in-service training, create a positive atmosphere, follow ergonomics policies, prepare a departmental operating budget, serve on committees, maintain resident care information confidentiality, and interpret resident rights.
