About The Position

Just Food Company is seeking a hands-on Marketing Director to guide its next phase of product innovation, international expansion, and brand growth. This role reports to the CEO and collaborates closely with the Head of Brand. The position requires a leader who excels at influencing, owning, and executing marketing strategies, rather than managing a direct team. The Marketing Director will be responsible for setting strategy, developing plans, and overseeing execution, working with agency and freelance partners as needed. Daily collaboration will occur with Product Development, Sales, Regulatory, Quality, Operations, Finance, and Leadership teams. The ideal candidate will be adept at creating order from ambiguity, making resource-efficient decisions, and ensuring marketing investments are purposeful.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of progressively increasing responsibility in consumer marketing.
  • Demonstrated ownership of brand strategy, commercialization, product launches, and integrated marketing initiatives.
  • Experience balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a lean, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Demonstrated success launching products, supporting commercial growth, or entering new markets.
  • Understanding of shopper marketing, retail activation, and the consumer path to purchase.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience measuring campaign effectiveness, marketing ROI, and business performance.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • A naturally curious, resourceful, and commercially minded approach.
  • Comfortable challenging ideas, backing up recommendations with data, and adapting to new information.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience across multiple SKUs and international markets (particularly Europe) is strongly preferred.
  • Enjoy working across disciplines and understanding that successful product launches require alignment between Marketing, Sales, R&D, Regulatory, Quality, and Operations.
  • Thrive in environments where a playbook isn't always readily available.

Responsibilities

  • Own and execute integrated marketing strategies across the company's portfolio in the U.S., Europe, and emerging markets.
  • Lead marketing initiatives from concept through execution, encompassing digital, social, email, product launches, consumer marketing, partnerships, events, and customer marketing.
  • Establish KPIs, measure ROI, and prioritize marketing investments to enhance discipline and accountability.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product Development, Regulatory, Quality, Operations, Sales, and Leadership to commercialize new products and support customer launches.
  • Collaborate with Sales to develop retail, foodservice, eCommerce, and shopper marketing initiatives.
  • Adapt marketing strategies for new products, new customers, and new international markets.
  • Manage agencies, freelancers, and vendors, while also being capable of performing the work directly when necessary.
  • Continuously improve marketing planning, prioritization, and execution to maximize impact within a lean organization.

Benefits

  • Equity
  • Up to 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision coverage (up to 90% for dependents)
