About The Position

DefinedTalent is working with a client that is seeking a highly creative, hands-on Marketing & Digital Content Producer to lead the creation, execution, and management of our digital content and marketing initiatives. This is not a traditional social media manager role, they are looking for a producer and creator who thrives behind the camera, behind the computer, and in the middle of the action. You'll own the entire content production process, from strategy and planning to filming, editing, publishing, and analyzing performance. You'll be responsible for building and managing our marketing calendar, producing compelling multimedia content, maintaining brand consistency, and ensuring our messaging reaches voters, supporters, candidates, and community members across every digital platform. Political campaigns move quickly, so this role requires someone who is organized, adaptable, creative, and energized by a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of experience in digital marketing, content production, communications, or social media management.
  • Exceptional video production and editing skills.
  • Strong graphic design skills with an eye for branding and visual storytelling.
  • Experience planning and managing marketing calendars and digital campaigns.
  • Strong copywriting and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating across teams.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and current trends.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience with many of the following: Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Canva, CapCut, Adobe After Effects (preferred), Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, WordPress, Mailchimp, Loomly or similar scheduling platforms, Meta Business Suite, Facebook Ads Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Produce high-quality video, photo, graphic, and written content across all digital platforms.
  • Plan, shoot, edit, and publish both short-form and long-form video content.
  • Capture campaign events, fundraisers, press conferences, community events, and candidate appearances.
  • Create static graphics, animations, motion graphics, reels, stories, and promotional assets.
  • Design branded graphics, templates, thumbnails, and digital collateral.
  • Ensure all creative assets align with the brand standards and messaging.
  • Develop and manage an integrated marketing and content calendar.
  • Plan campaigns around elections, endorsements, fundraising initiatives, events, holidays, and organizational priorities.
  • Coordinate messaging across social media, email marketing, website, and paid advertising.
  • Collaborate with leadership to translate strategic priorities into compelling digital campaigns.
  • Recommend new content opportunities based on platform trends and audience engagement.
  • Manage and grow presence across platforms including: Facebook, Instagram.

  • Operate DSLR, mirrorless, cinema, and mobile camera systems.

  • Perform color correction, audio balancing, motion graphics, titling, and formatting.
  • Export content optimized for each platform.
  • Maintain organized media libraries and digital assets.
  • Draft digital communications including: Email campaigns, Event promotions, Website updates, Digital advertisements, Candidate spotlights, Press graphics.
  • Support digital fundraising campaigns and voter engagement initiatives.
  • Assist with campaign branding materials and messaging toolkits.
  • Track performance metrics across digital platforms.
  • Analyze engagement and campaign performance.
  • Recommend improvements based on data and platform insights.
  • Stay current with emerging social media trends, platform updates, and best practices.
