About The Position

WACH is hiring a creative Social Media/Digital Producer to create content for all platforms. The role works closely with the Digital Executive Producer and involves generating and writing stories, as well as developing stories and videos for the organization’s platforms. The ideal candidate brings solid news judgment, strong writing and communication skills, leadership ability, and the flexibility to respond to fast-paced, deadline-driven work.

Requirements

• Solid news judgment.
• Compelling and accurate writing ability.
• Ability to multitask and manage time.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to execute news strategies and goals.
• Flexibility and on-the-spot problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with non-linear editing tools, such as Avid, and newsroom systems, such as iNews.

Nice To Haves

• Previous newsroom experience is preferred.
• A journalism degree is preferred.
