About The Position

The Marketing Design Manager will flex their senior-level design skill set while growing and developing their management skills. This role involves creating and executing customer-facing design solutions across digital experiences (UX/UI), advertisements, print, and physical space executions. The manager will lead and develop a talented team of graphic and UX/UI designers, balancing team management responsibilities with hands-on design projects. The position ensures all designs meet strategic objectives, quality expectations, and follow brand guidelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • 6 years of creative development experience (including but not limited to print and digital advertising, collateral, email and direct mail campaigns, magazine and website creative, event support).
  • Experience managing professional-level employees or program management.
  • Mastery of type, color, illustration, textural elements, and layout, using each as appropriate to achieve concept-driven design solutions.
  • Technical expertise in PhotoShop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Figma.
  • Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and modern web technologies.
  • Comfortable with feedback and adapts quickly to changing information.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, planning, time management, and organization skills.
  • Experience working in a deadline-driven atmosphere.
  • Passionate about design thinking.
  • Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Nice To Haves

  • A Masters degree may be used to offset one year of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a creative thought leader who conceives, pitches, and executes designs for various customer-facing brand activations to meet business objectives.
  • Design for web, including user experience design (UX) and user interface design (UI), print, and physical space using expert knowledge of creative programs, trends, and global preferences.
  • Art direct photoshoots and partner with photographers, designers, writers, and creative directors to bring creative visions to life.
  • Manage daily operations of the design team, ensuring deliverables are on time and meet quality expectations.
  • Conduct and participate in strategic and process planning activities representing the design team.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) when interacting with internal customers (including Leadership, Sales, Customer Support, and Executive Assistants) and external vendors, contractors, and partners.
  • Communicate any requirements between parties.
  • Supervise creative employees of similar expertise during campaigns and projects.
  • Lead cross-functional teams.
  • Communicate performance expectations, conduct performance reviews, and advise direct reports.
  • Develop and evaluate project plans and creative concepts.
  • Identify and enforce departmental policies and procedures.
  • Establish and execute objectives that support organization goals.
  • Train, coach, and mentor others.
  • Contribute input to annual budgeting initiatives.
  • Support management in recruiting and hiring.
  • Oversee and support creative production schedules, resources, and equipment.
  • Research and integrate new technologies and processes into the department, providing recommendations to Senior Management and requesting appropriate budget.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
