About The Position

Island is seeking a creative, detail-oriented intern to help bring its brand to life across digital channels. Working alongside marketing and creative teams, the intern will design graphics, produce motion content, and support campaigns for social media, web, email, events, and product launches. The role combines visual design with storytelling through motion and offers hands-on experience creating real marketing work.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Motion Design, Animation, Digital Media, Visual Communication, or a related field.
A portfolio showing graphic design and motion or animation work.
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, and Premiere Pro.
Knowledge of Google Suite.
A strong eye for typography, layout, color, and timing.
Ability to take feedback well, iterate quickly, and manage multiple projects on deadline.
Clear communication and a collaborative, curious attitude.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Figma, Canva, Blender, or Cinema 4D.

Responsibilities

Design marketing assets such as social media graphics, digital ads, email headers, web banners, presentations, and event materials.
Create motion graphics and short animations for social posts, product explainers, ads, and video intros or outros.
Edit and polish short-form video content, including adding animated text, transitions, captions, and sound.
Help develop visual concepts and storyboards for campaigns and animated content.
Apply brand guidelines consistently and help build reusable templates and design components.
Resize, adapt, and export assets for different platforms and formats.
Collaborate with marketers, copywriters, and product teams to turn ideas and feedback into finished creative.
Stay current on design, animation, and social media trends and bring fresh ideas to the team.
