About The Position

Responsible for assisting in the management of marketing databases. This role involves performing data mining and queries, preparing data files for import/export, adjusting database settings, and integrating/manipulating player databases. The specialist will ensure the database contains only active and mailable accounts through daily audits and data entry standards. They will also identify and run mailing lists, provide activity status reports, and support marketing and operational projects related to the database. Additionally, the role includes identifying inactive guests and maintaining the database by purging inactive or duplicate accounts. The position also promotes a fun atmosphere for casino guests and encourages mutual respect, dignity, and integrity among employees.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication, organizational and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of database marketing and reporting programs and systems required, including Access, Excel and relational database systems.
  • Must be numbers-oriented and computer literate, with database and software skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries from other employees or guests.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense reasoning to variety of situations.
  • Regularly required to talk or hear.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls.
  • Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, and to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

  • A combination of an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and two years of Casino Database Marketing experience are preferred.
  • This position requires a Level 4 Gaming License.

Responsibilities

  • Performs data mining and queries of the database.
  • Prepares data files for importing and/or exporting.
  • Adjusts database settings as directed.
  • Performs database integration and data manipulation of player databases(s).
  • Ensures the database includes only active and mailable accounts by developing daily audits and data entry standards.
  • Identifies and/or runs mailing lists (direct mail and email) as required from the database(s).
  • Provides consistent database activity status reports.
  • Assists in providing support and input into all marketing and operational projects related to database.
  • Identifies inactive guests in the club database.
  • Maintains an effective database by periodically purging or cleaning up inactive or duplicate accounts.
