About The Position

BIS Safety Software is a SaaS company focused on revolutionizing how organizations manage safety, learning, and compliance. As the company expands, maintaining clear and consistent messaging across all marketing channels is crucial. This role is designed for a Marketing Copywriter who will be instrumental in leading these messaging efforts. The position involves owning the quality, clarity, and consistency of BIS marketing messages. The copywriter will collaborate closely with marketing leadership to grasp the company's positioning and translate it into compelling copy for various channels, including advertising, website content, buyer guides, campaigns, product messaging, and video scripts. The role emphasizes a deep understanding of customer interpretation of messaging and audience response to different communication styles. At BIS, copywriting is viewed as more than just writing; it's about understanding buyer psychology and shaping market perception of the product. Success in this role is measured by the speed of output and a strong technical grasp of the digital product, as a high volume of content is produced across multiple initiatives. The candidate must be able to write quickly while ensuring clarity and quality. This role is not a support function but holds significant influence over the company's market communication. This is a remote position.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of professional marketing copywriting experience
  • Strong ability to translate complex systems into clear messaging
  • Excellent judgment about tone, clarity, and positioning

  • Experience using AI tools as part of modern content workflows
  • Comfortable receiving feedback and iterating quickly, reducing revision cycles over time

Nice To Haves

  • Experience writing for SaaS platforms, particularly in safety, compliance, training, or other regulated industries
  • Familiarity with SEO copywriting principles and how content supports organic search performance
  • Experience writing across multiple formats including landing pages, email campaigns, video scripts, ad copy, and buyer guides
  • A working understanding of how marketing messaging connects to broader campaign strategy and lead generation
  • Exposure to content management systems and marketing automation platforms

Responsibilities

  • Own Marketing Messaging Quality: Ensure consistency of messaging across marketing channels, maintain clarity and discipline in how the company communicates its value, and help refine the language used to describe the platform and capabilities.
  • Develop a Working Understanding of the BIS Platform: Write accurate and credible marketing copy by developing a strong working understanding of how the BIS platform functions, including its core capabilities, ensuring marketing messaging accurately reflects software functionality while communicating value clearly.
  • Write and Develop Marketing Content: Create and refine copy for various marketing initiatives including website pages and landing pages, digital advertising campaigns, buyer guides and marketing assets, campaign messaging and promotional materials, video scripts and product marketing content, and email campaigns and marketing communications.
  • Understand the Buyer: Develop messaging that reflects different customer types, different levels of buyer sophistication, and different stages of the purchasing journey.
  • Work Across Marketing Channels: Contribute copy and messaging for digital marketing campaigns, website content, SEO and AEO-driven content initiatives, marketing guides and downloadable assets, and product-focused marketing materials.
  • Use AI as a Professional Tool: Utilize AI tools to assist research and content development, refine AI-assisted drafts into high-quality marketing copy, and help the team use AI more effectively in marketing workflows.
