About The Position

BlackLine is seeking a Performance Copywriter to join our Demand Generation team. In this role, you will be responsible for writing high-converting copy for landing pages, organic social, and digital ads that support full-funnel campaign objectives; from driving reach and engagement to generating traffic and pipeline. You will leverage AI tools to enhance creativity and efficiency, and use data to test, iterate, and optimize performance against key growth targets. You will be a key player in bridging content creation with our demand generation efforts, ensuring a seamless and effective customer journey. This is a highly collaborative role where you will work in lockstep with our organic social, paid media, product marketing, website, and brand teams to deliver cohesive and high-performing integrated campaigns. This role will also entail project management responsibilities and offer opportunities to expand into a broader demand generation role.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a content marketing, copywriting, or demand generation role.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing your copywriting skills across paid advertising, social media, and web.
  • Hands-on experience with various paid advertising channels (e.g., LinkedIn, Google Ads, etc.) and a solid understanding of paid media strategy.
  • Demonstrable experience with integrated digital marketing campaigns.
  • Excellent project management skills and proficiency with tools like Wrike, Trello, or similar.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable insights.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with a track record of working effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Activate core marketing assets created by our brand and content marketing teams by writing compelling, high-converting copy that drives action. Your focus will be on crafting bold, irresistible headlines, persuasive ad and organic copy (for social, search, display, and more) and conversion-optimized landing pages that turn our content into measurable demand.
  • Maintain alignment with internal teams and quarterly integrated campaigns, and manage the update of assets as needed. Stay up-to-date on appropriate style guidelines and brand voice for consistent messaging.
  • Utilize and experiment with AI writing tools to accelerate the copywriting process, generate creative variations, and enhance overall content performance.
  • Develop and execute A/B tests for ad copy and landing pages to continuously improve key metrics such as click-through rates (CTR), conversion rates, and cost-per-acquisition (CPA).
  • Regularly analyze creative performance data across variables (ad type, messaging focus, etc.) to identify trends, extract actionable insights, and inform future creative strategies.
  • Collaborate with and support SEO and CRO teams to apply SEO best practices and monitor search engine updates to support website health initiatives, strengthening domain authority and improving content visibility and site performance.
  • Act as the liaison for creative projects, managing and documenting the delivery of assets from our design teams and ensuring that new content is launched in a timely manner.
  • Work cross-functionally with key marketing stakeholders to ensure a unified and powerful brand message across all touchpoints.
  • Utilize project management system to manage workflows, timelines, and deliverables effectively. Audit deliverables to ensure accuracy.
