About The Position

JAKKS Pacific, Inc., a leading designer and marketer of toys and consumer products, with a wide range of products that feature some of the most popular brands and children's toy licenses in the world, currently seeks an experienced, energetic, self-starter for the role of Marketing Coordinator - Temp for our headquarters in Santa Monica, CA. The ideal candidate is responsible for or portfolio management, product development, integrated marketing strategy, advertising/promotional recommendations, global line plan development, and profitability for both internal IP and external licensed brands.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the Sr. Brand Manager and SVP, with positioning, strategy and execution of product lines
  • Oversee day to day marketing responsibilities on several product lines, including: writing product copy for packaging, presentations, and website; preparing PowerPoint presentations for internal sales purposes, retail meetings and licensor meetings; compiling and analyzing sales data; set up and organization of product details; organizing and leading meetings; helping prepare strategies on product lines; competitive research and routine store checks
  • Collaborating across departments to complete tasks, including: sample coordination for important meetings and photoshoots; ensuring products are on time, on cost and on brand; working with operations team to ensure product details are accurate and meet retailer requirements; toy fair and meeting preparation
  • Take ownership of brands by managing line lists, giving direction to design and development teams, communicating product changes, helping licensor approvals run smoothly and ensuring product is on track through production.
  • Updating product sales tools including price list, brand decks and product presentations on a regular basis
  • Assistance with expenses and team supplies
  • Conduct trend research and store checks to maintain competitiveness with other toy brands
