This funded position through the Canada Summer Jobs Program offers the opportunity to gain meaningful experience and learn practical skills associated with working in an organization that provides professional vision rehabilitation services. VLRC is seeking a motivated Marketing Coordinator to support the local team in Barrie, ON, with planning, implementation, and evaluation of promotion of services and programs to external partners. In this role, you will develop practical skills in community outreach, market research, digital and accessible communications, and content creation. The Marketing Coordinator will help strengthen VLRC’s presence across Barrie by supporting the development of outreach and communication strategies, conducting research on health and community organizations, and updating digital contact and referral databases. The position also provides exposure to assistive and accessible technology and offers opportunities to learn how AI-enabled tools support individuals with vision loss. To be eligible for the funding associated with this position, you must be: Between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment, A Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Protection Act, and Legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations. International students are not eligible.
