About The Position

Alaska Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, and Horizon Air offer interns hands-on experience on visible projects across departments that support guests and the business. Interns can network with employees and company leaders through intern events and programming and receive unlimited standby travel benefits. This full-time internship lasts 12 weeks during summer 2027, with two program timelines to accommodate different academic calendars. It is located in Honolulu, Hawaii, and candidates who are not already in the internship city must relocate for the duration of the internship. The internship is intended to provide skill development and work experience; it does not guarantee a relevant role or future employment after the internship.

The Marketing Coordinator Intern will contribute to key projects supporting business, community, and cultural growth in an innovative, collaborative environment. The role involves marketing research and content creation, social media support, and assistance with marketing events and promotional activities.

Requirements

• Be working toward a bachelor’s degree focused on Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related area.
• Have experience with MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams.
• Be able to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously across various audiences.
• Be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program and have at least one semester or quarter of school remaining after the internship.
• Have achieved junior or higher academic standing at the time of application.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years old.
• Be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research to identify trends, analyze competitors, and understand target audiences.
• Draft or assist in creating marketing materials, including brochures, social media posts, blog content, emails, and website updates.
• Help manage and update social media platforms, monitor trends and feedback, and contribute to social media campaigns.
• Assist with planning and hosting marketing events, promotional activities, and trade shows.
