The Marketing Coordinator will work closely with the Communications Manager to support the media and community relations efforts for the agency. This role helps to engage our community to be part of the work we are doing to help the most vulnerable people in southern Nevada, by effectively telling our story through a variety of methods. The Marketing Coordinator will support the team on media related functions including photography, video, maintaining our agency website, graphics, social media and marketing initiatives. The Marketing Coordinator will be a part of the Media & Community Relations team within the Development Department, supporting Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada’s (CCSN's) overall fundraising goals, assisting as needed with agency events, communications, donor activities and related activities.

Requirements

  • Possess exceptional oral and written communication and editing skills.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Sound judgment with ability to work autonomously and make decisions, analytical mind and ability to think critically.
  • Proven knowledge of communication and marketing ethics and best practices.
  • Experience working with Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Experience using social media platforms.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently and part of a team.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Ability to prioritize work, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate tasks and events.
  • High school diploma.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including after hours and weekends as required and/or necessary.
  • Successfully complete a drug test prior to employment.
  • Successfully complete a background check prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro preferred.
  • Bilingual a plus.
  • Associate Degree in Communications, Marketing or related field preferred.
  • Two - four years work experience in marketing or communications role preferred, specifically working with a high volume of written/verbal communications.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with taking photos/video of agency events, program activities, volunteer activities, etc., to help tell our story as an agency to broaden community awareness.
  • Actively meet with program managers to gather client success stories and interview clients.
  • Create content for website and social media platforms aligned with brand standards.
  • Provide coordination support for media interviews across agency programs as needed.
  • Help to develop and maintain editorial calendar for Social Media postings.
  • Help with digital marketing activities for the agency.
  • Help with drafting content for communications and agency website via WebFlow.
  • Organize and maintain achieves of agency activities.
  • Provide support for various fundraising projects/initiatives assigned by the Director of Media & Community Relations and Communications Manager.
  • Protect all confidential information, agency property and electronic data. Comply with safety rules.
  • Other related duties as directed.
