About The Position

RJN Group is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to join their employee-owned firm. This role is responsible for owning the execution of RJN’s national tradeshow and conference strategy, coordinating all aspects of their presence at nearly 100 annual events. The position also involves supporting various marketing initiatives and managing administrative tasks. This is a hybrid role based out of the corporate headquarters in Downers Grove, Illinois, and requires collaboration with sales, marketing, operations, client managers, and technical staff nationwide. The Marketing Coordinator will play a vital role in supporting RJN’s nationwide sales and marketing efforts, providing hands-on operational support for the marketing team’s day-to-day activities.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field or 4-5 years of directly relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 1+ years of experience in marketing, event coordination, or a related role involving project or logistics management.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and logistical details simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams) and general technology proficiency.
  • Strong grammar and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to understand and work with complex technical concepts; curiosity and willingness to learn the firm’s services and industry.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with design and content tools (Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with social media platforms.
  • Experience with CRM/analytics tools (Unanet CRM, HubSpot, Google Analytics, Power BI).
  • Experience with AI-assisted marketing tools.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the logistical owner of RJN’s national tradeshow and conference program, planning, coordinating, and executing all aspects of event presence, including registrations, sponsorships, booth logistics, shipping, vendor coordination, and branded materials.
  • Support the day-to-day operations of the marketing team, including expense tracking and reconciliation, vendor coordination, printing and production logistics, mailing activities, and maintenance of marketing materials and event assets.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate and organized data for CRM tools and event tracking.
  • Assist with market research and data analytics to support sales and marketing strategy.
  • Assist in the quality control and final production of proposals, qualifications, and other marketing materials, including proofreading, formatting, and final production in digital and physical formats.
  • Assist with maintaining the quality and consistency of internal and external communications, including social media, newsletters, and the company intranet.
