About The Position

The Marketing Content Specialist is responsible for creating, developing, managing, and distributing engaging content across various Change Church marketing channels to enhance Change Church brand awareness, engage the target demographic, and drive attendance and participation. Working under the direction of the Director of Communications & Content, the Marketing Content Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing communication strategies that align with the church's vision and goals, bridging the gap between internal ministry needs and external community outreach. The role will lead efforts to maintain brand consistency across all campuses in New Jersey and Atlanta, social media platforms, websites, and print design materials, ensuring a welcoming and engaging presence. This role focuses on visual storytelling, short-form content creation, and daily digital platform execution by ensuring content is timely, culturally relevant, and aligned with the voice and priorities of Change Church.

Responsibilities

  • Develop editorial calendars, content plans, brand guides, and strategies that align with Change Church marketing goals and demographic needs.
  • Create or coordinate visual content, including infographics, storyboarding, photos, and short-form videos for in person events, church productions, Sunday service experiences, digital platforms (i.e. Instagram, TikTok, Meta).
  • Implement SEO best practices such as keyword research and on page optimization to increase organic traffic and search engine rankings.
  • Produce polished, high-impact video and print media design with quick turnaround for various Change Church communications.
  • Translate direction into compelling visual storytelling aligned with brand and messaging.
  • Analyze performance data and feedback to measure the effectiveness of communication strategies, adjusting as needed.
  • Serve in excellence by being early and prepared for all scheduled meetings.
  • Establish and foster an exemplary relationship with staff/non-staff workers, church membership, and the community at large.
  • Demonstrate a servant’s heart by having a willingness to perform other duties as needs may arise.
  • Develop annual and/or monthly marketing strategies and communication plans for church-wide initiatives, sermon series, and outreach events.
  • Champion consistent branding, tone, and visual identity (logos, fonts, colors) across all departments, campuses, and digital platforms.
  • Create or help oversee the production of graphics, flyers, and promotional videos (using Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Final Cut Pro, Capcut, DaVinci, etc) for various Change Church wide events.
  • Establish systems for following up with first-time guests to turn them into active members.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, tracking engagement and growth metrics to adjust strategies based on data.
  • Recruit, train, and oversee volunteers to assist with creative tasks (photography, videography, graphic design, etc).
  • Creating, editing and producing videos for a wide variety of uses. From concept to creation, including the following: script, schedule, shoot, produce, package, & present story driven video announcements, testimonials, commercials / promotions, sermon intros, baptism videos & special/creative video elements, and camera operations.
  • Creating and designing graphics for digital and printed materials.
  • Own the day-to-day management of all Change Church social media platforms.
  • Execute the social media content calendar with consistency and timeliness.
  • Ensure all content reflects the voice, tone, and messaging direction provided.
  • Maintain platform standards for captions, formatting, and presentation.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
