About The Position

Our client is seeking a Marketing & Communications Coordinator to help build and strengthen its brand through innovative, technology-driven marketing and communications. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys experimenting with emerging tools, creating engaging visual content, and turning complex ideas into clear, compelling stories. The role is fully remote, with the successful candidate based in the Halifax area and available for occasional in-person meetings. It is initially a part-time contract, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

Requirements

• Education, experience, or a combination of both in marketing, communications, content creation, digital media, or other related field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a natural ability to tell a compelling story
• Creative thinking and an eye for engaging visual content
• Comfort using AI tools and an interest in exploring new and emerging technologies
• Strong digital literacy and the ability to learn new platforms and tools quickly
• Ability to simplify technical or complex information for a broader audience
• A curious, self-directed approach and the ability to work independently in a fully remote environment

Nice To Haves

• Experience with graphic design, video creation, social media, or digital marketing would be considered an asset

Responsibilities

• Use AI and digital tools to create engaging videos, graphics, images, presentations, and other marketing content
• Develop clear, compelling messaging that communicates the organization’s technology, mission, and impact
• Support the development and evolution of the organization’s brand and visual identity
• Translate complex technology concepts into simple, engaging stories and visual content
• Support digital marketing campaigns, communications, and brand initiatives
• Monitor trends in AI, marketing, technology, and emergency services to identify new ideas and opportunities
• Contribute creative ideas that help increase brand awareness and audience engagement
