About The Position

The Scale Space is a marketing agency that runs full-funnel growth for clients including ads, automation, and strategy. We are a small, fast-moving team based in North Hollywood, CA. Our primary offer is built around one goal: creating marketing systems that drive consistent revenue, not just traffic, clicks, or vanity metrics. This role will own the marketing automation layer for every client we have. You will work with multiple CRMs like Gohighlevel, Hubspot and others, build automations, manage funnels, create forms, and the messaging flows that catch leads after the ad does its job, then keep all of it running. When follow-up fires late, a form stops passing data, or a DM sequence goes quiet, you are the person who finds it and fixes it, ideally before anyone notices. Every client we onboard gets a CRM and a set of automations behind their ads. Those systems are the difference between a client getting leads and a client getting revenue, and we are hiring one person to own all of it. You will work across roughly 8 to 10 client accounts. GoHighLevel is where you will spend most of your time, but our clients run different stacks, so you need to be fluent across the tools: HubSpot for the clients on it, ManyChat for Instagram and Facebook DM automation and UTM tracking, Zapier for everything that has to talk to everything else. This is mostly heads-down build work. You are not running client calls. Occasionally you will jump into Slack to answer a client directly when something automation-related breaks and they need a straight answer fast.

Requirements

  • 2+ years building marketing automations across multiple client accounts.
  • GoHighLevel across multiple sub-accounts.
  • Automations built from scratch, not cloned from a template someone handed you.
  • HubSpot. Workflows, pipelines, and forms.
  • ManyChat. DM automation, comment triggers, and passing tracking data back into the CRM.
  • Zapier. Multi-step workflows with filters, lookups, and error handling.
  • Fluency across automation tooling generally.
  • Funnels and forms: you have built them and know how they behave on mobile.
  • Self-QA discipline.
  • Systems thinking: you ask what a change affects before you make it.
  • Written communication: you can explain a technical problem in plain language to someone who is not technical, including a client in Slack.
  • AI-native: you use AI tools daily to work faster.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Sole full-time commitment

Nice To Haves

  • Running automation for one business is a different job. We need someone who has worked across many and knows where these systems get fragile.
  • New platforms show up constantly. You should be the kind of person who gets into an unfamiliar tool and has it working the same week.
  • This is the one we screen hardest on. You test your own builds before they ship, every time.
  • The person the team trusts when something in the stack is behaving strangely

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain the CRMs
  • Set up and configure client sub-accounts in GoHighLevel from our templates
  • Configure pipelines and stages to match how each client's business actually runs
  • Set up and maintain HubSpot workflows, pipelines, and forms for the clients running it
  • Keep contact data, tags, and custom fields clean enough to be useful
  • Build the automations: Appointment reminders, no-show follow-up, lead reactivation, nurture and re-engagement sequences
  • Build Email and SMS flows triggered off real behavior, not just time delays
  • Build ManyChat flows for Instagram and Facebook DM automation, comment-to-DM triggers, and UTM tracking into the CRM
  • Build Calendars, booking flows, and the notification logic around them
  • Connect the systems
  • Build and maintain Zapier workflows tying the stack together
  • Keep data moving cleanly between platforms and pick up new tools quickly when a client's stack requires it
  • Debug integration failures rather than escalating them
  • Build funnels and forms
  • Build funnels, landing pages, and forms in GHL
  • Make sure what they capture lands where it should, and that it works on mobile
  • QA and ownership
  • Test every build end to end before it goes live. Trigger the automation yourself, confirm the message sends, confirm the record updates, confirm the notification fires.
  • Run a regular health check across all client accounts and catch what is broken before the client does
  • When you build something new, check what it touches. New automations break old ones more often than anyone admits. Fix it, then say what you fixed and why it happened
  • Document it
  • Keep a current record of what is built, for which client, and how the pieces connect
  • Create Short Loom walkthroughs for anything the team will need to understand later
  • Ensure nothing important should live only in your head
