About The Position

O Bee Credit Union is hiring a Marketing and Community Outreach Intern to join their team for the summer. This is a part-time, seasonal role that plays a vital part in supporting the organization's mission, members, and company culture. The intern will support Summer 2026 events and community engagement efforts, providing hands-on experience in event planning, marketing operations, and community outreach while working closely with the marketing team. The role is suitable for someone who enjoys variety, collaboration, and meaningful work that supports the communities served.

Requirements

  • Must be at least a second-year college student with a minimum of 25 completed credits.
  • Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age due to occasional brewery and 21+ event participation.
  • Must have flexible hours – availability for weekend hours and evening hours are a must.
  • Must be able to pass a background and credit check.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Reliable, flexible, and eager to learn.
  • Interest in marketing, communications, events, or community outreach.
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Enjoy working behind the scenes to bring events to life.
  • Comfortable in both office and community event settings.

Nice To Haves

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed coursework in marketing, communications, business, nonprofit management, or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning and executing community events, sponsorships, and internal initiatives.
  • Prepare for events by ordering and organizing marketing collateral and branded swag; assembling event materials and event kits; tracking inventory and supplies.
  • Support event logistics, including scheduling team members for events; sending event details, reminders, and updates to staff; helping manage timelines and event checklists.
  • Attend events as needed.
  • Jump in on other marketing projects as needed.
