The Marketing and Communications Specialist II is responsible for leading, planning, and producing content, media development, and publication of various materials for the Institute and its programs. This role involves writing press releases, newsletter articles, and interview-based articles, as well as serving as a liaison with external partners and media outlets. The specialist will design publications, provide photography support, and assist other stakeholders with communications and marketing requests. Additionally, the role includes planning and executing branding and marketing efforts, serving as the marketing lead for the Etch Talent Network platform, and overseeing marketing at conferences. The position also involves developing branding and marketing strategies, leading trade shows and exhibits, enhancing online content and analytics, and coordinating with the university's marketing and communications team. The role also oversees social media platforms, manages the department's social media presence, analyzes trends, organizes targeted social campaigns, and coordinates with external agencies for social media advertising. Public relations campaigns will be established for information dissemination, and project outcomes will be tracked and reported. The specialist will interface with various stakeholders to understand and respond to marketing and communication needs, assist in developing marketing and communication strategies, and analyze data to optimize communication strategies. Other duties include assisting with Institute events, performing administrative tasks, attending meetings, and participating in committees.
