About The Position

Move Industries is building the People’s Chain, a Move-based Layer 1 blockchain, and a diverse ecosystem that empowers talented builders to create the future of finance, infrastructure, and real-world value on chain. As a core contributor to the Movement Network, we combine deep protocol engineering with open community governance, returning blockchain to its roots by giving financial power, access and opportunity back to the people. Our mission is to fuel the next generation of secure, expressive, and high-performance blockchain applications through the Move programming language and scalable distributed systems. You will help unlock massive throughput, low latency, and resilience across consensus, data availability, and privacy - the invisible rails that make an open and decentralized future possible. We’re hiring a Marketing & Communications Associate/Manager to be the connective tissue across our brand, story, and presence in the world. You’ll own the day-to-day execution of our communications, public relations, and events programs - making sure Move Industries shows up consistently and credibly across the fintech and crypto ecosystem. This is a high-visibility, high-ownership role on a small team. You’ll work directly with our founders, protocol leads, and ecosystem partners to translate technical work into clear narratives, land coverage in the publications that matter, and run a calendar of conferences, summits, and community moments that help define the People’s Chain. The right person is plugged in: you already follow the major fintech and crypto events (Consensus, Token2049, ETHDenver, Permissionless, Mainnet, Money20/20, DAS, etc.), you read the beat reporters before the press release goes out, and you have a working Rolodex you can pick up the phone with.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in communications, PR, events, or marketing - ideally at a crypto, fintech, or fast-moving tech startup, or at an agency serving them.
  • Clear familiarity with the major fintech and crypto event circuit and a point of view on which ones are worth showing up for.
  • relationships with reporters covering crypto, fintech, or emerging tech - you can pitch a story without a warm intro.
  • Strong, fast writing. You can take a dense technical update and turn it into something a reporter, partner, or community member will actually read.
  • Operator instincts. You’re organized, you ship, and you don’t need a six-week runway to pull off a launch or an event.
  • Comfort with the pace and ambiguity of an early-stage company — priorities shift, news breaks, and you can re-plan a week without losing the plot.
  • Genuine interest in crypto and where Move and Movement fit in the broader Layer 1 landscape. You don’t need to be a protocol engineer, but you should care about the space.

Nice To Haves

  • Direct experience launching or marketing a Layer 1, Layer 2, DeFi protocol, or fintech product.
  • Existing presence on Crypto Twitter / X and a sense for how narratives move there.
  • Experience running founder or executive social, ghostwriting threads, or coaching speakers.
  • Background working with developer or builder communities (hackathons, grant programs, ecosystem events).

Responsibilities

  • Draft and ship clear, on-brand external communications - announcements, blog posts, X/Twitter threads, newsletters, partner statements, and executive social copy.
  • Develop and maintain our messaging library: positioning, talking points, FAQs, and crisis-response language that the team can pull from on demand.
  • Partner with engineering, product, and ecosystem leads to translate technical milestones (consensus upgrades, mainnet progress, integrations) into stories normal humans can follow.
  • Own the editorial calendar and keep launches, partner reveals, and ecosystem updates from colliding.
  • Build and maintain relationships with reporters across crypto and fintech (CoinDesk, The Block, Blockworks, Decrypt, DL News, Fortune Crypto, Bloomberg, WSJ, Axios, TechCrunch, etc.).
  • Pitch stories, source quotes, and broker on-the-record and on-background conversations between our leadership and the press.
  • Run press cycles end-to-end for fundraises, partnerships, mainnet milestones, and ecosystem launches — from briefing docs to embargo coordination to follow-up coverage.
  • Track coverage and sentiment, brief leadership on what’s landing and what’s not, and adjust our approach in real time.
  • Manage relationships with any external PR partners and make sure they’re a force multiplier, not overhead.
  • Own our presence at the conferences and summits that matter — Consensus, Token2049 (Singapore & Dubai), ETHDenver, Permissionless, Mainnet, Devconnect, Money20/20, DAS, and the long tail of regional and invite-only gatherings.
  • Run events end-to-end: speaking submissions, sponsorship decisions, booth and activation logistics, side events, dinners, and partner meetups.
  • Manage on-the-ground execution — vendors, swag, run-of-show, briefing books for our speakers, and post-event follow-up so the relationships actually get worked.
  • Own the events budget and report back on what’s producing pipeline, partnerships, hires, and earned media - and what isn’t.
  • Help shape and protect the Move Industries brand voice across every surface.
  • Partner with design and growth on launch campaigns, landing pages, and ecosystem co-marketing.
  • Spot opportunities - trending narratives, founder moments, community wins - and turn them into momentum for the company and the People’s Chain.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary
  • meaningful equity
  • the resources to do the job at a high level.
