About The Position

We’re seeking a Manager, Marketing and Communications to lead the development and delivery of high-impact, technology-enabled client and public communications that support the growth of our asset management platform. This role is ideal for an experienced marketing and communications professional with deep expertise in asset management, who is motivated by translating complex investment and impact concepts into clear, compelling narratives—and by leveraging data, technology and AI to do so effectively and at scale. The Manager, Marketing and Communications leads the planning, development and delivery of marketing and communications that articulate the performance, impact and strategy of Rally’s investment portfolios, shaping how we position our brand with institutional clients, limited partners and the broader market. This role requires deep experience in asset management or investment management marketing, including investor communications, fund marketing, and positioning investment strategies to sophisticated audiences. The Manager operates as both a strategic lead and hands-on executor—owning key deliverables, setting standards, and aligning communications with business and marketing objectives. They oversee a Senior Associate and drive high-quality execution across a broad, evolving scope of work with a high degree of autonomy. The role also leads the evolution of Rally’s communications capabilities through the adoption of marketing technology, data infrastructure and AI-enabled workflows—identifying and implementing tools that improve efficiency, insight generation and audience engagement while maintaining strong standards of accuracy, compliance and brand integrity.

Requirements

  • Training, a degree and/or at least seven years of experience in marketing and/or communications, preferably within asset management, investment management or financial services
  • Demonstrated experience leading communications and marketing functions, including managing or mentoring team members
  • Strong experience developing investor-facing communications, including client reporting, pitch materials and fund marketing content
  • Demonstrated project management experience
  • Deep understanding of asset management, institutional investing and/or investor relations
  • Proven ability to translate complex financial and impact concepts into clear, compelling narratives
  • Experience developing and executing marketing strategies, particularly for investment products
  • Experience with marketing technology platforms (e.g., CRM, CMS, marketing automation tools), web software (Wordpress) and analytics tools
  • Familiarity with or strong interest in leveraging AI tools (e.g., generative AI, Agentic AI workflows) in communications and marketing
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using data to inform communications and marketing decisions
  • Comfort collaborating with technical teams or working with data systems and dashboards
  • Design and visual communication experience
  • Web and digital marketing experience
  • Proficiency in English; proficiency in French is considered an asset
  • Legally able to work in Canada without restrictions

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and mentor a Senior Associate, providing guidance, feedback and performance management
  • Establish priorities, workflows and quality standards across marketing and communications deliverables
  • Act as a key partner to other functional teams in the launch and delivery of products and services
  • Source and develop working relationships with third-party marketing and/or PR firms to support delivery of select marketing and communications output
  • Ensure alignment between communications outputs and broader organizational, marketing and business development objectives
  • Evaluate, implement and manage marketing technology and AI tools to automate processes, and enhance productivity and effectiveness
  • Lead the planning and delivery of investment reporting across all pooled products and custom portfolios, including contributing directly to the writing, editing and design of these reports
  • Partner with portfolio managers and the impact management team to shape narratives around performance and impact
  • Design and implement scalable, technology-enabled reporting workflows (e.g. automation, AI-assisted generation and personalization)
  • Collaborate with internal teams to integrate data sources into reporting and communications outputs
  • Ensure all communications meet the expectations of sophisticated institutional investors
  • Own the strategy and execution of web, digital and social media content
  • Oversee development and continuous improvement of Rally’s website and digital presence
  • Lead the creation of newsletters, press releases, earned media appearances and other public-facing written communications
  • Ensure consistency and strength of Rally’s brand and visual identity across all materials
  • Analyze communications performance metrics and translate insights into action
  • Apply data, SEO and AI-driven insights to optimize content performance and audience engagement
  • Provide strategic and tactical communications support across teams
  • Lead execution of the firm’s marketing strategy, with a strong focus on asset management and product marketing
  • Develop and oversee creation of marketing materials for investment products, including digital assets and web content
  • Lead the development of pitch decks, whitepapers, reports and thought leadership materials that position Rally as a leader in impact asset management
  • Drive campaigns to increase visibility with institutional investors, partners and the broader market
  • Leverage marketing automation tools and AI-enabled segmentation to improve targeting and campaign effectiveness
  • Oversee advertising and promotional efforts across relevant channels
  • Enhance Rally’s presence during key industry events and moments
