About The Position

Brock University is seeking a Marker-Grader for the MPAC 5P91 Fall D2 course. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group and falls under Corporate Finance for Accounting. The role involves marking assignments, term projects, case reports, midterms, progress exams, and/or final exams, and providing written feedback to students. The marker-grader may also be expected to invigilate mid-terms and examinations, or enter grades into databases, as requested by the course instructor. Requirements

• Proven competency in the subject area, including a minimum of 80% in the course being applied for (or equivalent) and an overall average of 80%.
• Excellent English Language Skills.
• Academic Integrity and Professionalism.
• Proven track record of working effectively and completing assigned tasks in a timely manner.
• Members shall not accept any appointment which, taken together with all other appointments at the University, would cause the member to exceed the maximum number of regular hours (i.e., not overtime hours) allowable in a work week under the Employment Standards Act, as amended from time to time.

Responsibilities

• Mark assignments, term projects, case reports, midterms, progress exams, and/or final exams.
• Provide written feedback to students that clearly identifies the basis of the grade assigned, including substantive content, spelling, punctuation, grammar, and overall structure and organization.
• Invigilate mid-terms and examinations for the course, at the request of the course instructor.
• Enter grades into databases, at the request of the course instructor.

• Compensation based on qualifications (Master’s Degree Complete $36.00/hour, Undergraduate Degree Complete $31.04/hour, Third Year Complete $22.91/hour, Second Year Complete $20.15/hour, First Year Complete $19.00/hour).
