About The Position
Brock University is seeking Marker-Graders for CHEM 2P12 for the Winter D3-4 term. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 employee group. Compensation is based on the highest level of education completed, with rates effective September 1, 2026. The role involves marking assignments, projects, exams, and providing written feedback to students. Additionally, marker-graders may be asked to invigilate mid-terms and examinations, or enter grades into databases. Requirements
- Must have completed CHEM 2P12 (or equivalent in English) and attained a grade of 80% or higher.
- Graduate of or Major in Chemistry with a minimum major average of 75%.
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven track record of working effectively with deadlines.
Nice To Haves
- Previous Marker/Grader experience is considered an asset.
Responsibilities
- Mark assignments, term projects, case reports, midterms, progress exams, and/or final exams.
- Provide written feedback to students that clearly identifies the basis of the grade assigned, including substantive content, written communications, spelling, punctuation, grammar, and overall structure and organization.
- Invigilate mid-terms and examinations for the course, at the request of the course instructor.
- Enter grades into databases, at the request of the course instructor.
