About The Position

Brock University is seeking a Marker-Grader for the OBHR 4P66 course for the Fall D2 term. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group. The role involves marking assignments, term projects, case reports, midterms, progress exams, and/or final exams, and providing written feedback to students. The marker-grader may also be expected to invigilate mid-terms and examinations or enter grades into databases. Requirements

• Must have completed OBHR 4P66 (or equivalent in English) and attained a grade of 80% or higher.
• Graduate of or Major in Business with a minimum major average of 75%.
• Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
• Proven track record of working effectively with deadlines.
• Members shall not accept any appointment which, taken together with all other appointments at the University, would cause the member to exceed the maximum number of regular hours (i.e., not overtime hours) allowable in a work week under the Employment Standards Act, as amended from time to time.

• Previous Marker/Grader experience is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Mark assignments, term projects, case reports, midterms, progress exams, and/or final exams.
• Provide written feedback to students that clearly identifies the basis of the grade assigned, including substantive content, written communications, spelling, punctuation, grammar, and overall structure and organization.
• Invigilate mid-terms and examinations for the course, at the request of the course instructor.
• Enter grades into databases, at the request of the course instructor.

• Compensation based on qualifications (Master’s Degree Complete $36.00/hour, Undergraduate Degree Complete $31.04/hour, Third Year Complete $22.91/hour, Second Year Complete $20.15/hour, First Year Complete $19.00/hour).
