Markdown Associate Part-Time Moring Shift
About The Position
The Markdown Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and helping maintain a clean and organized store. The role adheres to operational, merchandise, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The associate models customer experience practices, supports a positive store culture, accurately processes purchases and returns, and promotes credit and loyalty programs. Duties also include preparing and processing merchandise for the sales floor, maintaining merchandising standards, participating in store recovery and cleanliness, supporting shrink-reduction and safety programs, and following applicable labor laws, policies, and procedures. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities
- Deliver a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers.
- Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
- Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to established procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
- Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
- Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain the entire store.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
