About The Position

The 5am Truck & Markdown Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, embodying customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The associate follows operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs.

The role includes accurately processing customer purchases and returns, supporting merchandising and sales-floor readiness, participating in store recovery and shrink-reduction efforts, and helping maintain a safe and orderly store. The associate supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, respect, and constructive feedback. Other duties may be assigned.

The position is at Marshalls Store 0657, 5438 New Hope Commons Drive, Durham, North Carolina. Starting pay is $13.50–$14.00 per hour; actual starting pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers and following customer experience principles.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and participate in maintaining the cleanliness of the entire store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
