About The Position

The 5AM Markdown Team role is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging with customers and maintaining a clean, organized store environment. The associate follows operational, merchandising, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. Duties include assisting with purchases and returns, promoting credit and loyalty programs, preparing merchandise for the sales floor, supporting store recovery and shrink-reduction efforts, and contributing to a safe and positive store culture.

Responsibilities

• Engage and interact with customers to deliver a highly satisfied customer experience.
• Model established customer-experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Follow the merchandising philosophy and established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain cleanliness throughout the store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
