River Valley Marine is hiring a skilled Marine Technician to join our Long Lake service team. Requirements
- Previous experience as a Marine Technician, Marine Mechanic, Automotive Technician, Diesel Technician, Powersports Technician, RV Technician, Heavy Equipment Mechanic, or similar mechanical role
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced service environment
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Team-oriented attitude
- Valid driver's license required
Nice To Haves
- Marine technician or boat mechanic experience
- Experience with outboard, inboard, and sterndrive engines
- Electrical diagnostics, wiring, and marine electronics experience
- Experience with Mercury, Yamaha, Suzuki, Volvo Penta, or other marine power systems
- Manufacturer certifications
- Experience using Lightspeed EVO or dealership management systems
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair marine engines, boat systems, and marine equipment
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and mechanical repairs
- Complete winterization, de-winterization, commissioning, and seasonal service work
- Service outboard, inboard, and sterndrive engines
- Install and repair marine electrical systems, electronics, wiring, and accessories
- Utilize manufacturer diagnostic software and dealership management systems
- Complete repair orders accurately and efficiently
- Work closely with service advisors and fellow technicians to exceed customer expectations
- Safely move boats, trailers, and equipment when necessary
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment
