About The Position

River Valley Marine is hiring a Marine Sales Professional / Boat Sales Specialist in Red Wing, MN. We are looking for a relationship-driven sales professional who has a genuine passion for boating, marine products, and lake life and is interested in building a long-term career selling high-value products. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with experience in marine sales, automotive sales, RV sales, luxury retail, or other high-ticket commission-based sales roles who want to transition into or grow within the marine industry. You will work with customers purchasing new and pre-owned boats, helping them make one of the most meaningful recreational investments of their lives. As part of a Top 10 Marine Dealer in North America, you will represent premium brands, work with qualified buyers, and build a book of business that grows through repeat and referral customers over time.

Requirements

  • Passion for boating, marine equipment, and outdoor lifestyle
  • Previous sales experience preferred (marine, automotive, powersports, RV, or high-ticket retail)
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and closing skills
  • Customer-first mindset with the ability to build trust
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and goal-oriented
  • Comfortable learning and presenting technical product details
  • Experience with CRM systems (Lightspeed / LightspeedEVO preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Sell new and pre-owned boats and marine products in a consultative, professional sales environment
  • Guide customers through the full purchase process, from initial contact to delivery and follow-up
  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships that drive repeat and referral sales
  • Develop strong knowledge of boats, motors, features, and competing brands
  • Follow River Valley Marine’s proven sales process
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming showroom and inventory presentation
  • Follow up with prospects and sold customers consistently
  • Participate in boat shows, events, and dealership promotions
  • Collaborate with sales leadership and team members to achieve goals
  • Provide a high-end customer experience aligned with the #RVPSExperience
