About The Position
Soo Sports at Vern Eide Marine is seeking an experienced Marine Sales Professional who is passionate about fishing and boating to join their team. For over 60 years, Vern Eide has been committed to honesty, integrity, and exceptional customer care. This role involves helping customers find the perfect fishing boat or pontoon, guiding them through features and options, building strong customer relationships, and delivering a top-tier buying experience. The ideal candidate will maintain product knowledge on leading brands and current fishing/boating trends.
Requirements
- Sales experience (marine, powersports, RV, automotive, or similar preferred)
- Fishing knowledge — species, techniques, electronics, gear, seasonal patterns
- Boating experience — operation, safety, rigging basics, outboard knowledge
- Strong communication and people skills
- Self-driven, organized, and team-oriented
- Must be able to pass a background check and have a clean driving record.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen.
Responsibilities
- Help customers find the perfect fishing boat or pontoon based on their needs and experience
- Walk buyers through features, options, rigging possibilities, and accessories
- Build strong relationships with new and returning customers
- Deliver a top-tier buying experience from first contact to final delivery
- Maintain product knowledge on leading brands and current fishing/boating trends
