About The Position
River Valley Marine is hiring a Marine Sales Consultant in Rochester, MN. This role is for experienced, high-performing sales professionals with a background in luxury sales, automotive sales, RV sales, powersports sales, or other high-ticket commissioned environments who are interested in the marine industry. This is a relationship-driven, high-income opportunity representing premium boats and marine products with a Top 10 Marine Dealer in North America. The consultant will work with qualified buyers making significant recreational purchases and develop a long-term base of repeat and referral business. This role is ideal for competitive, polished individuals motivated by income potential and client relationships, offering a strong platform for career growth in a premium sales setting.
Requirements
- 2+ years of high-ticket or commissioned sales experience (automotive, RV, luxury retail, powersports, etc.)
- Proven ability to close deals and exceed sales goals
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Competitive, self-driven, and results-oriented mindset
- Comfortable learning and presenting technical product information
Nice To Haves
- Marine or boating experience is a strong plus
- CRM experience (Lightspeed / LightspeedEVO preferred)
Responsibilities
- Sell new and pre-owned boats and marine products
- Guide customers through a consultative, high-end buying experience
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships
- Follow up with leads, prospects, and past customers consistently
- Develop expert-level product knowledge across boats and competitive brands
- Execute a proven dealership sales process
- Participate in boat shows, events, and promotions
- Maintain a professional showroom presence and personal presentation
