Marine/RV Upfitter Electrician
About The Position
Airstream Adventures is hiring an RV Electrician to customize and upgrade Airstream travel trailers. The electrician works with cabinet makers, metal fabricators, and upholstery team members and provides excellent service to external guests and internal team members. The role is based in Clackamas, Oregon, and pays $28.00–$42.00 per hour, depending on experience. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with potential overtime. The position requires experience with RV electrical upgrades and related systems, including off-grid power, solar, battery banks, and AC electrical components. The technician is expected to troubleshoot systems and produce safe, high-quality repairs that meet manufacturer standards. A high school graduate or equivalent and age 18 or older are required. The workplace is drug-free, and reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform essential functions.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of RV electrical upgrades experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in RV, automotive, adventure van building, or related trades such as carpentry, electrical, or plumbing.
- Experience installing Victron Energy components for off-grid power systems.
- Experience installing solar energy systems, including solar panels and Victron Energy charge controllers.
- Experience installing 12-volt lithium-ion battery banks and 120-volt AC electrical components.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot wiring and component systems.
- Experience with RV plumbing, appliances, heating, and air-conditioning systems.
- Detail-oriented, with a commitment to safe, high-quality repairs that meet manufacturer standards.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with guests, service personnel, and shop leadership.
- RVIA/RVDA Certified Technician.
- Valid driver's license in the state of residence and an acceptable driving record.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- At least 18 years of age.
