About The Position

Glosten is seeking junior or entry-level marine mechanical engineers to join our marine engineering group. Glosten is a naval architecture and marine engineering firm that has served the marine industry for over 60 years. We work in teams to accomplish exciting projects in a stimulating, fast-paced, and collegial environment. We are an employee-owned company drawn to unique and challenging marine projects. Glosten marine mechanical engineers design propulsion drivetrains, supporting auxiliary systems, life support, and safety systems for all manner of vessels. Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and power train principles.
  • General knowledge of shipboard systems.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Rhino3D, or equivalent CAD program.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software packages.
  • Excellent written and spoken English language skills.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Unrestricted access to work in the United States or eligibility for TN visas.
  • Some travel and fieldwork are required.
  • Some project assignments may require a valid driver's license, current passport, and/or TWIC card.

  • Integrate mechanical systems with modern control and automation systems.
  • Contribute to the development of marine vessels with a focus on emissions reductions and efficiency improvements.
