About The Position

Vulcan Elements is hiring a Manufacturing Training Facilitator to build operator and technician skills through job shadowing, equipment demonstrations, supervised practice, coaching, classroom instruction, simulations, onboarding, and approved safety training. The position works primarily on the production floor and helps employees qualify for assigned manufacturing work. The facilitator must complete required qualifications for assigned equipment before operating it or supervising hands-on training, and works with Operations, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, EHS, and Warehouse/Logistics to keep instruction aligned with approved procedures. The role is based in Benson, North Carolina. Until the Benson site opens, the facilitator reports to the company’s Raleigh R&D facility; thereafter, work is at the Benson facility. The position may support other Workforce Strategy and Development initiatives based on business needs and individual performance. Travel between company facilities and a flexible schedule are required. Occasional off-shift training may be required to support production schedules. The facilitator delivers and coordinates training across manufacturing fundamentals, safety, quality, material control, documentation, traceability, compliance, technical terminology, measurements, drawings, specifications, MES and ERP concepts, and production processes including receiving, sampling, material preparation, milling, blending, pressing, sintering, inspection, and metallography. The role also supports equipment operation, quality checks, basic troubleshooting, and responses to abnormal conditions. The facilitator prepares and reviews training materials, works with EHS on safety and environmental content, administers assessments, maintains training and qualification records, tracks employee progress, and escalates readiness gaps. The position may operate equipment and supervise hands-on training only after completing the required machine-specific qualification. The facilitator may evaluate performance but may not authorize independent equipment operation unless designated under the approved qualification process. Safety and environmental training content requires final EHS approval before release. The position requires substantial time on the production floor. Employees must be able to navigate the facility, climb stairs, and stand and walk for extended periods, including in environments that may be hot, humid, or noisy. Appropriate PPE, including respiratory protection when required, must be used. Required medical clearance and fit testing must be completed, and employees must follow applicable safety policies and procedures. The role requires U.S. Person status due to access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities.
