About The Position

MAT Industries, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and experienced Manufacturing Trainer who is bilingual in Spanish to join their dynamic team. This role is responsible for delivering training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the manufacturing workforce. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in manufacturing processes, safety protocols, and quality control and be able to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish. The Manufacturing Trainer will foster a positive learning environment that encourages employee engagement and continuous improvement. When training is not needed, this employee will complete assembly related tasks in a manufacturing environment. This company offers a $1,000 sign-on bonus and an air-conditioned manufacturing environment with a first-shift operation, allowing employees to be off almost every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The hours are Monday - Thursday from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, with a ten-hour shift that includes 3 paid breaks and a 30-minute unpaid lunch.

Requirements

  • Bilingual (Spanish & English) Required
  • Relevant production experience within the last 5 years.
  • Ability to understand and follow simple assembly instructions.
  • Ability to stand, reach, bend, and kneel without assistance.
  • Ability to independently lift up to 30 lbs. and/or team lift material over 30 lbs.
  • Must be a team player.
  • An open communication style creates a setting where employees are comfortable asking questions.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the manufacturing workforce.
  • Communicate effectively in both English and Spanish.
  • Foster a positive learning environment that encourages employee engagement and continuous improvement.
  • Complete assembly related tasks in a manufacturing environment when training is not needed.
  • Effectively communicate processes, both formal & informal, in a way that new hires can comprehend.
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency to complete production schedule on time.
  • Accept personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work.
  • Accurately and timely complete all required reporting functions.
  • Use computer-based documentation systems to find, view, and print specifications and procedures.
  • Dispose of scrap/rejected material appropriately and according to safety regulations.
  • Clean and assemble equipment while following safety procedures and practices and maintaining a clean, orderly work environment.
  • Dispose of hazardous materials appropriately, operate machinery, and interact with computer-controlled equipment and processes.
  • Work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Cross-train jobs and rotate as needed.
