About The Position

At F5, a Manufacturing Test Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of hardware products by designing and implementing robust manufacturing test strategies. The role works closely with contract manufacturers, internal engineering teams, and quality assurance to support the launch and sustainment of F5 hardware solutions. The engineer independently manages complex assignments with minimal supervision, collaborates across teams, and leads improvements to manufacturing test engineering processes.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
At least 5 years of manufacturing test engineering experience, preferably in a high-tech hardware environment.
Strong understanding of test development, validation, and automation for electronic hardware.
Experience working with contract manufacturers and global supply chain partners.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently on complex technical challenges.
Effective communication and training skills, including the ability to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

Design and implement manufacturing test plans and validation procedures for new hardware products.
Train and certify contract manufacturing personnel on test standards, equipment operation, and troubleshooting techniques.
Act as the primary point of contact for contract-manufacturer test issues, resolving recurring problems promptly and minimizing production disruption.
Independently manage complex assignments with minimal supervision, applying sound judgment to determine appropriate actions.
Collaborate across teams and influence related functions to align and improve test processes.
Identify and document process-improvement opportunities and lead initiatives to implement business process enhancements.
