Neapco is seeking a results-driven individual to join our team as a Manufacturing Technician. The Manufacturing Technician will be responsible for providing technical support to manufacturing associates to maximize production efficiencies while maintaining quality and machine utilization. This position will report to the Manufacturing Superintendent and is based at our Components location in Beatrice, Nebraska. Compensation dependent upon qualifications.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience required; vocational or technical training preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing, machine setup, machining, CNC operation, or related experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated reliability through consistent attendance, strong work performance, and commitment to previous employers.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively set up and operate manufacturing equipment.
  • Work from operational prints to set up machines.
  • Make necessary adjustments/changes to maintain acceptable tolerances.
  • Use gauges, calibers, other measuring devices to ensure the accuracy of produced product to the print.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, reporting any discrepancies or concerns.
  • Perform control plan requirements such as sign-off of “first piece” articles.
  • Troubleshoot and correct machine set up problems.
  • Perform operator preventative maintenance.
  • Maintain coolant levels and lubrication as prescribed.
  • Maintain necessary written and electronic process/labor documentation.
  • Work extra hours to maintain production needs if necessary.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities.
  • Perform 5s activities in the work cell.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
