About The Position
Interim Healthcare is hiring a Traveling Phlebotomist for a 5–10 week assignment, with potential for an extension or additional assignments. The role provides blood-draw services at skilled nursing facilities and other facilities so residents do not need to travel to a lab. The position starts in St. Louis Park, where the employee gathers supplies and then drives a company vehicle to facilities in the west metro, including Meeker and Wright counties. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Pay is $31–$35 per hour, depending on experience.
Requirements
- At least one year of phlebotomy experience and 1,000 blood draws completed outside of training.
- Ability to complete difficult blood draws.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, including appropriate use of English grammar and spelling.
- Clean driving record and current auto insurance.
Nice To Haves
- Phlebotomy certification is preferred.
- Experience with the geriatric population.
Responsibilities
- Collect specimens and perform blood draws, with some specimen processing.
- Drive a company vehicle to nursing facilities or group homes to complete blood draws.
- Perform skilled blood draws and correctly label, document, and process blood samples.
