About The Position

Zehnder Rittling is hiring manufacturing support employees at its Buffalo, New York location. The role performs basic manufacturing operations in support of production, including assisting with paint-line loading and unloading, product packaging, product assembly, and maintenance-related tasks. Employees may be asked to assist in other areas or cells as needed and are expected to work safely, contribute as part of a team, and look for ways to reduce waste and non-value-added processes. The stated schedule is 40 hours per week, working four 10-hour shifts from 5:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Overtime may be needed for 10 hours on Friday and/or six hours on Saturday morning. The posting describes both temp-to-hire and seasonal positions. Pay is $17.00 to $18.00 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Highly motivated, with the ability to learn basic production operations quickly.
Dependability and reliable transportation.
Ability to lift approximately 50 pounds and regularly stand, walk, reach, bend, stoop, and lift; regularly use hands to handle and feel; and meet the stated close-vision requirements.

Nice To Haves

Prior vocational or trade school background.
Experience with small hand tools, both power and manual.

Responsibilities

Assist with loading and unloading the paint line.
Assist with packaging products.
Assist with assembling products, including fin tube, storage cabinets, cabinet unit heaters, and brackets.
Assist with maintenance-related activities, including janitorial tasks and cleaning paint-line equipment.
Work safely and use all required personal protective equipment.
Assist in all other areas of the cell and transfer to other cells when needed.
Work as part of a team and seek to identify and eliminate non-value-added processes and waste.
