About The Position

The Surgical Operating Unit, Vessel Sealing, develops and supports advanced energy-based surgical technologies used to seal blood vessels and tissue during minimally invasive and open procedures. The team works across research and development, clinical, marketing, regulatory, manufacturing, and commercial functions to advance vessel sealing technologies that support surgical efficiency, product performance, and patient care. The Manufacturing Supervisor is part of the manufacturing operations organization responsible for delivering safe, compliant, and efficient production across high-volume medical device manufacturing. This role leads frontline production teams, supports operational readiness, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and partners closely with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Training functions to achieve production, quality, and cost objectives. This position is based onsite in Boulder, Colorado and supports manufacturing operations within the vessel sealing business. The role requires working onsite five days per week on 3rd shift (10:45 PM to 6:45 AM, Sunday night through Friday morning). Travel is not anticipated for this position. This position provides frontline leadership for manufacturing operations, supporting the execution of production plans, workforce coordination, and operational performance on 3rd shift. The Supervisor is responsible for achieving production objectives while maintaining compliance with quality system requirements, developing employees, and driving continuous improvement across manufacturing processes.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years of supervisory, leadership, or people management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience scheduling work, prioritizing activities, coaching employees, and executing operational processes.
• Experience supporting production execution and workforce coordination in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to work onsite on 3rd shift (10:45 PM to 6:45 AM, Sunday night through Friday morning).
• Experience using operational metrics to support manufacturing performance and decision-making.

Nice To Haves

• Experience leading large frontline manufacturing teams in a regulated industry such as medical device, pharmaceutical, aerospace, or other high-reliability manufacturing environments.
• Experience supporting high-volume manufacturing operations.
• Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience; Green Belt certification preferred.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) processes, Nonconformance Reports (NCR), and audit support activities.
• Experience developing training programs, cross-training strategies, or employee skill progression models within manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead frontline manufacturing teams to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity objectives.
• Prioritize and execute production schedules based on customer demand, equipment capacity, product introductions, and material availability.
• Develop staffing plans, workforce strategies, and shift coverage plans to support operational requirements and changing production needs.
• Coach, develop, and manage production employees, trainers, and team leads to build organizational capability and support succession planning.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on throughput, waste reduction, line balancing, process stability, and operational efficiency.
• Partner with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and other cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing issues and improve operational performance.
• Monitor and analyze manufacturing metrics to identify trends, implement corrective actions, and improve productivity and quality outcomes.
• Support resource planning, labor management, and departmental budget activities, including recommendations for operational investments and capital needs.
