About The Position

At Shaw Industries, our Manufacturing Supervisors play a critical role in leading safe, efficient, and high-performing operations. As a Night Shift Manufacturing Supervisor, you will provide leadership and direction to production associates while driving safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives across the operation. You'll partner closely with production, quality, maintenance, scheduling, and plant leadership to ensure business objectives are achieved while fostering an engaged and accountable work environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment.
  • Strong communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make sound business decisions.
  • Basic computer proficiency and experience using business software applications.
  • Ability to work nights, overtime, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience within manufacturing, engineered wood, building products, or related industries.
  • Experience with quality systems, process controls, or statistical process control (SPC).
  • Continuous improvement experience, including Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
  • First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and support to production associates.
  • Foster a culture focused on safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct performance discussions, provide feedback, and address performance concerns when necessary.
  • Support onboarding, training, and ongoing development of associates, including on-the-job training activities.
  • Lead shift meetings and effectively communicate plant goals, priorities, and updates.
  • Ensure production goals are met while maintaining product quality and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor manufacturing processes and partner with associates to optimize equipment performance.
  • Coordinate workflow and material movement to support production schedules.
  • Utilize production data, process controls, and operational metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage and communicate special projects, operational priorities, and production changes.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Lead safety discussions, participate in incident investigations, and support corrective actions.
  • Ensure quality standards are maintained by reviewing product specifications and addressing non-conforming material.
  • Support quality systems, inspections, audits, and documentation requirements.
  • Partner with scheduling, maintenance, quality, and other functional teams to support plant objectives.
  • Coordinate resources and communicate effectively across departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, quality, productivity, and associate engagement.
