About The Position

The 2nd shift Manufacturing Supervisor will manage the activities and workflow for all hourly team members during the assigned operational shift of the plant. This role involves directing and managing training activities for new employees, administering company policies, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. The supervisor will also be responsible for adherence to quality standards, frequent communication with direct reports and management, and evaluating, managing, and motivating direct reports with a focus on planning, organization, preparation, follow-up, and internal communication. A key aspect of this role is supporting a lean, high-performance culture that rewards overachievement and encourages continuous improvement, while communicating clear performance expectations, productivity, and accountability to employees.

Responsibilities

• Managing the activities and workflow for all hourly team members during the assigned operational shift of the plant
• Directing and managing the training activities of new employees
• Administering Company policies and practices fairly
• Ensuring that work areas comply with health, safety and environmental standards
• Adherence to all internal and external quality standards
• Frequently communicates with direct reports and management counterparts
• Evaluate, manage and motivate all direct reports with a strong emphasis on planning, organization, preparation, follow-up and internal communication
