About The Position

DRT is seeking a high-performing Sales Account Manager to drive aggressive growth within our Precision business. This is a true hunter role for a manufacturing sales professional with experience in precision machining, OEM manufacturing, industrial sales, and technical business development who thrives on opening doors, winning new business, and building strategic customer relationships. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in B2B sales, business development, strategic accounts, or technical sales.
  • Experience selling CNC machining, precision components, engineered products, or contract manufacturing solutions strongly preferred.
  • Proven success generating and closing new business opportunities.
  • Strong hunter mentality with the ability to build a pipeline from scratch.
  • Experience selling within manufacturing, industrial, precision machining, or engineered product environments.
  • Understanding of technical sales cycles and complex manufacturing operations.
  • OEM, aerospace, defense, or engineered-to-order manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate technical capabilities to both operational and executive stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Executive presence with the ability to influence senior-level stakeholders.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Self-driven, competitive, and motivated by results.
  • Experience using CRM systems; Salesforce preferred.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and win new strategic customers in manufacturing, industrial, and engineered products markets.
  • Develop new OEM and industrial manufacturing relationships across aerospace, defense, industrial, and engineered products markets.
  • Build relationships with executive-level stakeholders and decision makers.
  • Lead the complete sales process from prospecting and discovery through quoting, negotiation, and close.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial agreements while balancing profitability goals.
  • Drive urgency and momentum throughout lengthy technical sales cycles.
  • Present DRT’s precision manufacturing capabilities and long-term value proposition.
  • Manage pipeline activity, forecasting, and opportunity tracking within Salesforce CRM.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities.
  • Drive revenue growth while maintaining focus on margins and operational capacity.
  • Establish long-term customer partnerships that support sustainable business growth.
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Finance teams.
  • Support customer solutions aligned with manufacturing capabilities and business objectives.
  • Help position DRT as a trusted manufacturing and precision solutions partner.
