About The Position

Pioneer Metal Finishing is seeking a motivated S&R Clerk to join their team. This role is responsible for the receipt of incoming materials, supplies, equipment, and returned goods, as well as preparing orders for physical shipments. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments and is eager to contribute to a leading surface engineering company with a long history of delivering quality solutions.

Requirements

Computer efficiency - particularly with Microsoft Excel
Must be able to repetitively bend, lift, kneel and twist.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
Must be able to climb stairs and maneuver a forklift.
Must be able to sit and stand at various times throughout the day.
Frequent lifting, moving heavy carts.

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
Preferably able to train for 2-3 months on 1st Shift

Responsibilities

Receiving: Responsible for receipt of incoming materials, supplies, equipment, returned goods.
Shipping: Responsible for preparing orders for physical shipments ensuring proper counts, labeling, packaging and the administration of paperwork. Assures that proper shipping practices and requirements are followed.
Check received goods to purchase orders, freight bills, delivery tickets, etc., against part number, quantity, description, weights, and sizes.
Report any discrepancies or damage to customer service.
Accurately hand or scale counts items.
Prepare purchase orders for subcontracting.
Reacts to and expedites rush orders and other conditions that affect work output.
Fills out identification tag and attaches tag to product.
Checks product to paperwork.
Uses discretion for packaging, depending on how the product is being shipped.
Determines how product is shipped.
Schedule common carriers to pick-up as needed.
Works with Shipping and Receiving Supervisor to determine weekly stops via our truck with utmost efficiency.
Coordinates loading of trucks to maximize truck efficiencies.
Fills out corresponding paperwork to accompany shipment.
Receives credit approval from Customer Service of any shipment that is under question.
Maintains necessary clerical records pertinent to the function.
