About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining the shipping and receiving area, checking shipments, palletizing orders, and delivering orders to customers. The driver will also assist in inventory audits, load/unload freight, and manage inbound/outbound shipments. A key aspect of this role involves maintaining company vehicles, ensuring compliance with DOT regulations, and managing driver qualification files and logs. The driver will operate company vehicles professionally, execute various transport missions, coordinate schedules with other drivers, and represent the company as a professional. Flexibility to support on-call operational needs and perform inventory cycle counts are also required.

Requirements

Must have and maintain a valid driver's license with a clear driving record that conforms to the company's insurance policies.
Complete all required ATF, DOT, state, and other applicable hazardous materials (HazMat) training.

Responsibilities

Maintain shipping and receiving area in a neat and clean condition.
Check incoming and outgoing shipments against appropriate paperwork.
Palletize orders for shipment.
Delivers orders to customers.
Helps in all audits of Hunting's inventory and equipment.
Load, unload, and secure freight to ensure product integrity during transit.
Accurately count, document, and manage inbound/outbound shipments.
Ensure all company vehicles remain in compliance with current inspection and registration requirements.
Maintain the cleanliness, security, and mechanical upkeep of assigned company vehicles.
Manage accurate recordkeeping for Driver Qualification files and official driving logs.
Organize and maintain all shipping paperwork and transactional documentation.
Operate company vehicles with a commitment to defensive driving and professional conduct.
Execute various transport missions, including local deliveries, pickups, and occasional long-distance "hotshot" runs.
Coordinate daily driving schedules and logistics with the other department driver to ensure efficient routing, timely deliveries, and effective coverage of transportation needs.
Always serve as a professional representative of the company.
Maintain Flexibility to support 24-hour on-call operational needs.
Perform daily inventory cycle counts, participate in full physical inventory counts twice a annually, and assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and stock levels.
