About The Position

The Manufacturing Production Operator supports the core team at Johns Manville’s Scottsboro, Alabama plant, which manufactures reinforced TPO roof membrane and selected TPO accessories. The plant assembles components into roofing systems for shipment to distributors or building sites. This role works cross-functionally and participates in the Pay-For-Skills program, which offers pay increases as operators develop additional skills. The position pays $23.08 per hour, with a $2.00 night-shift differential, and involves 12-hour night shifts. The operator follows safety procedures, completes training, and performs packaging-station tasks involving finished rolls, pallets, labeling equipment, and product documentation. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Ability to tolerate heat.
Good vision, hearing, speaking, and finger dexterity skills as required.
Ability to set up and follow simple work plans.
Ability to communicate with co-workers.
Basic computer skills.
Physical ability to perform essential job functions, with reasonable accommodations available where applicable.

Responsibilities

Follow all Johns Manville safety procedures and policies.
Wear required protective clothing and equipment.
Review and complete training on JSAs and SOPs.
Complete packaging-station training and safely operate an overhead crane to handle rolls.
Prepare pallets according to finished-product specifications.
Remove finished rolls from the line and assemble them on pallets, ensuring correct labeling.
Set up and operate labeling equipment and generate accurate labels for finished goods.
Complete Get Data training, including daily, housekeeping, and forklift checklists.
