About The Position

embecta is hiring a Production Operator for its advanced manufacturing facility in Holdrege. The facility operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, producing insulin delivery syringes and other medical devices. The role is on a 12-hour night shift and may be assigned to Molding, Assembly, Packaging, or Warehouse. Production Operators help manufacture insulin syringes by setting up and operating relevant machinery and equipment, inspecting products, completing quality documentation, moving materials or finished products as needed, and monitoring equipment. The position requires a strong commitment to safety, product quality, regulatory compliance, and teamwork. Comprehensive onboarding and training are provided.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 1 year of experience working with or repairing manufacturing equipment.
Strong attention to detail when reading and completing product quality checks and documentation.
Comfort using computers and basic software such as Microsoft Office.
Good communication skills and a team-first attitude.
Reliability, organization, and willingness to learn.
A strong focus on safety and integrating safety considerations into daily work and decision-making.

Responsibilities

Put on required personal protective equipment and safety shoes.
Check in with the team and review shift goals.
Set up and operate machines and equipment used to mold, assemble, or package insulin syringes, depending on assignment.
Inspect products and perform in-process checks to verify quality and regulatory requirements.
Complete accurate inspection and quality documentation.
Move raw material supplies and finished products to required locations when needed.
Monitor equipment output and identify issues; help troubleshoot problems efficiently.
Work collaboratively with the team to maintain safe and smooth operations, prioritizing safety.
