About The Position
Turbotec, a company of Mueller Industries located in Newton, NC, produces high-performance heat exchangers for space conditioning and refrigeration applications in geothermal, water heating, solar, heat recovery, and heat pump markets. The Manufacturing Engineer supports plant operations and production efficiency, working across manufacturing, maintenance, and engineering in a hands-on role with leadership responsibilities.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience of 1–3+ years.
- Experience with manufacturing processes and fabrication.
- Experience with tooling and process improvement.
- Experience in industrial maintenance or engineering support.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of HVAC or heat exchanger systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead maintenance and manufacturing technician teams.
- Support production and troubleshoot shop floor issues.
- Drive process improvement and cost reduction projects.
- Develop new manufacturing methods, tooling, and materials.
- Assist with prototype development for new or modified products.
- Ensure quality and efficiency across product lines.
- Provide technical support for heat exchangers and tubing systems.
