Manufacturing Operators - Up To $5,000 Sign-On Bonus!
About The Position
GlobalFoundries is hiring Manufacturing Operators to help produce microelectronic chips used in cellphones, computers, tablets, vehicles, and other products. No prior experience is required; training is provided. Operators work with manufacturing toolsets and equipment through computers and modules to support production. The position is based in Essex Junction, Vermont, and is offered on either a day or night shift. Night shift is 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., with an hourly rate of $25.88 including shift differential and a $5,000 sign-on bonus. Day shift is 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with an hourly rate of $23 and a $2,500 sign-on bonus. Schedules involve working approximately 14 days per month, with occasional overtime available.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- English fluency, both written and verbal.
- Ability to stand for a 12-hour shift, excluding breaks.
- Comfort wearing a clean room uniform.
- Ability to comply with GlobalFoundries pre-employment screening requirements.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds periodically throughout the shift.
- Basic computer and email skills.
- Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities
- Work in a clean room environment while wearing a clean room suit and gloves.
- Sustain and run the manufacturing floor.
- Set up and operate equipment according to Standard Operating Procedures.
- Work as part of a team to meet production goals.
- Perform all activities safely and responsibly and support Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security requirements and programs.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the manager.
