About The Position

Vishay Thin Film is seeking a 3rd Shift Tape & Reel Operator at its Niagara Falls, New York site. The operator sets up and runs multiple automatic and manual tape-and-reel machines, monitors production equipment and part quality, prepares paperwork and labels, and organizes work to meet due dates. The role also requires qualification to perform multiple jobs and responsibility for training other employees. Applicants must qualify as U.S. Persons under applicable federal regulations because the position requires access to ITAR- and/or EAR-controlled information.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and write to interpret production documents and accurately record required information.
• Ability to perform arithmetic calculations using a learned method or calculator.
• Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity to accurately process small parts.
• Organizational skills to maintain a clean workstation.
• Ability to understand verbal and written instructions and follow work direction accurately.
• Must qualify as a U.S. Person under applicable federal law.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate multiple automatic and manual tape-and-reel machines according to traveler instructions.
• Monitor and adjust tape-and-reel machines and peripheral equipment as necessary.
• Report equipment downtime to a supervisor or technician.
• Prepare the required paperwork and labels for reels.
• Organize work by due date and ensure it progresses on schedule.
• Monitor the output and quality of assigned parts.
• Perform multiple jobs and train other employees.
